Round up the whole family to see, touch, climb aboard and learn about fascinating trucks and vehicles at the first annual Touch a Truck. The FREE event will be held Saturday, October 5, 2019, 6-8 p.m. in the parking lot of Springfield Lutheran School located at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2852 S. Dayton Ave., Springfield, MO.
Touch a Truck will feature dozens of vehicles that kids (and kids at heart) can explore. Families can check out construction equipment, safety and transportation vehicles, motorcycles, tractors, and much more. Many operators will be on hand to demonstrate how their vehicles work and explain what they do.
“Touch a Truck is open to all area families. We want to bring people together to explore trucks, have fun, and connect with our community. From big rigs to farm equipment, we’ll have a variety of trucks for kids to see up close,” Amanda Cole, Springfield Lutheran School Principal, said. “As a bonus, Touch a Truck promotes even greater understanding of how safety, utility, and sanitation trucks work and help our community.”
Concessions will be available from local food trucks. No registration is required. The free program will take place rain or shine. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
