SLS 7th grade student Ellie Rowe has recently had a writing assignment she did at SLS professionally published as a book! Ellie created a children’s book called Type One Diabetes A to Z. 

The book details her experience as a Type One diabetic, and walks children through diabetic supplies, habits, and experiences. The book was recently purchased by the Mercy Healthcare System and Children’s Mercy Health Care System. They will give newly diagnosed children the book as a helpful resource.
